Seeds of Spring: A Mixed Media Journey
Seeds of Spring: A Mixed Media Journey
Shake off the winter chill and join us for Seeds of Spring, a dynamic virtual art workshop designed to celebrate the awakening of the natural world. This isn't just a class on drawing plants; it’s an invitation to explore the lifecycle of growth through a playful, experimental lens.
In these sessions, we will move beyond simple observation to uncover the "soul" of the season.
From Realism to Abstraction: Learn how to capture the intricate details before stripping away the detail to find its essential, abstract form.
Nature Symbolism: Discover the hidden meanings behind spring flora—themes of renewal, resilience, and potential—and how to weave these stories into your work.
Mixed Media Magic: Combine simple, traditional mediums with unexpected results. We’ll play with layers, textures, and transparency to mimic the organic complexity of nature.
Variations on a Theme: See how one single seed or sprout can inspire a dozen different artistic directions, from bold graphic patterns to soft, ethereal washes.
Experience a "judgment-free zone" where the process is just as important as the final piece. Whether you are a seasoned painter or haven't picked up a brush since grade school, you’ll be encouraged to follow your curiosity and embrace "happy accidents." Come prepared to get your hands messy (metaphorically and literally) as we grow our ideas from the ground up!
"In the seed, the whole plant is already present."
