Bone Wind Fire 🔥 zoom online art class

CA$160.00

These classes explore the lives and works of Emily Carr, Frida Kahlo and Georgia O'Keeffe. These incredible women followed and listened to their own voice at a very interesting time in art history. They were all defining their own vision for themselves and had a connection to a spiritual, creative drive and process….which we are going to delve into and take awesome inspiration from!

Rather than a history lesson, I plan to create space for discussing their similarities and differences, to study significant works that we can learn something specific from + time to conceptualize your own inspired work and voice. As there is a rotation of dates, each 4 weeks will study a O'Keeffe, Carr, and Khalo + your own choice <repeat> so no matter which month you've enrolled in, you will get the whole delightful package :)

Materials to be explored: studying the masters with mixed media - your choice!

The Virtual Workshop Experience with Sharlena Wood

  • Each session begins with a welcome and overview. You will know exactly how the session will unfold and the objectives.

  • The classes are interactive and paced for you to work along with step-by-step demonstrations, Q&A’s and help along the way.

  • Review and critique. At the end of each session, there will be time for questions and concerns. Students may choose if and how they want to share their work.

  • The workshop encourages sharing in a private Facebook Group (Sharlena Wood • Visual Art Group) where you can upload your finished projects or in-progress homework, get feedback, and comment on your fellow classmates’ work. It’s a safe community space to share your work, and I offer comments on all work posted.

Note: These classes will be recorded and added for Membership students to view.
