Frost & Film: Winter Landscapes

Embrace the quiet, haunting beauty of the coldest season. In this ZOOM course, we move beyond traditional drawing to create ethereal landscapes that capture the stillness of winter. Using the unique, translucent properties of Mylar and the deep, velvety textures of charcoal, you will learn to layer light and shadow to create atmospheric depth.

In addition to studio work, we will tackle the challenge of the elements. You will learn the essential "plein air" kit for winter: how to manage your materials in the cold, how to see subtle value in the "white" of the snow, and how to capture fleeting light before the sun dips below the horizon.

ZOOM: Saturdays Feb 7, 14, 21, 28 from 10am-12noon
